To remove a bath sealant strip, you can follow these
steps:
Use a utility knife or a razor blade to cut along
the edges of the sealant strip. Be careful not to scratch the surface of the
bathtub or shower.
Use a scraper tool to gently pry the sealant strip
away from the surface. You may need to use a bit of force to loosen it, but be
careful not to damage the surface.
Once you've removed as much of the sealant as
possible with the scraper, use a sealant remover or a solvent such as rubbing
alcohol, white vinegar or acetone to soften the remaining sealant.
Apply the solvent to the sealant with a clean cloth
or a sponge, and let it sit for a few minutes.
Use the scraper again to remove the softened
sealant. Repeat the process with the solvent until all the sealant is removed.
Once you've removed all the sealant, use a clean,
damp cloth to wipe the surface and remove any residue.
Let the surface dry completely before applying a new
sealant strip.
Note: Make sure to wear gloves and work in a
well-ventilated area when using solvents to remove sealant.
